EWV 0128-2009, Cropped Vest

EWV 0128-2009, Cropped Vest

Started: January 28, 2009
Finished: February 1, 2009

It looks like I'm off to a decent start with my knitting in 2009; although, I wouldn't necessarily say that the knitting mojo has returned. I knit this with two strands held together on size 10 (for edge ribbing) and size 11 (for the body), so it's nice and thick. It was very easy to make and took just barely more than 2 skeins (about 530 yards total!). The pattern didn't specify which decreases to use, so I used k2tog, p2tog, ssk and p2togTbl to get the correct slant direction. I also performed the decreases 2 stitches away from the edge to help keep the edge neater; it also made the decreases prettier too. And seaming was a breeze because I slipped the first stitch of every row.

This picture is quite interesting because either it or the vest itself makes me look a lot ... bustier than I acutally am. At least, I don't think I'm that busty. Maybe it's an illusion because it's a cropped vest?

Vera 020109 (15)Here's Vera's February photo shoot.

As of February, she's at 10 months old. And who knew that DVDs would make comfortable pillows? :)

Thanks Ekgheiy, it's taking a lot of energy to get back into the swing of things. :/

Aaawww look at Vera - what a sweety!!

I really like your vest. Is that the true colour? I see it as a sort of burgundy. I think of it as a 'grown up' and 'sophisticated' colour. tee-hee.

Thanks Patrizia! The color is pretty close to burgundy, but just with more burnt orange to it.

Worthy Knitting

"Personally I think [what] ever is in my fingers at the moment is "worth" knitting, or it wouldnt be on my needles."
